Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden

After hearing so much about the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden, I was really looking forward to going over there with Jayvon.

Taking advantage of the long holiday from Chinese New Year, Nic & I brought Jayvon on the 3rd day of CNY. Being a garden, there were loads of greens and beautiful flowers and fruits, and loads of things to entertain young minds.

Even from the entrance, we knew we would be in for a treat! Check out this gorgeous “tree” sculpture…

And inside, even more greens and beautiful flowers greeted us. Here’s my first stab at garden photography… Haha!

With all that gorgeous flora in the place, we wanted to expose Jayvon to the wonders of nature. The beauty of it. Of the colours and the smells. Of the grass and the flowers.

Jayvon had other ideas.

He was introduced to nature, all right.

The wonders of the dirt!

Touching it, grabbing it by the fistful, and then throwing it up into the air.

What a typical boy! Haha!

He had loads of fun, especially in the mini water play area. Check out more photos in his own blog.

The Children’s Garden is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily(closed on Mondays except for public holidays), and admission is free!

Quick Tip for Parents: Be sure to dress your kid up in some cool clothes, and don’t forget an extra change of clothes for their water play! The Garden is meant for kids up till 12 years old, and there are various educational and fun breakout areas for them.
