Thursdays & thankful!

My good friend Jiahui reminded me that November is a month of thanksgiving, and I too realise I have loads to be thankful for.

I am thankful for my gorgeous family – my three men (of various sizes, haha…) and having their unconditional love and support in all that I set out to do. I enjoy long walks down the beach, splashing around the water playground, enjoying some good food, and just living life together. I hardly had a pet my whole life, and now to be responsible for the lives of two little boys – it can be pretty mind-blowing, so thankfully I have a good partner-in-crime alongside.

I am thankful for my extended family – the grandparents, uncles and aunties from both sides. I don’t think we are some typical Singaporean family, where we are home every night for the kids. We would be working late or involved in other activities about 2-3 times a week, which keeps us away from home till past 10 p.m., and if not for awesome support we have with the boys, we would not be able to do all that we are now doing.

I am thankful for my awesome friends, colleagues and “co-labourers” – in every sense of the word. Working wouldn’t be as fun without the colleagues I am surrounded with. Like any family, there may be squabbles and disagreements, but at the end of the day, we can count on each other. Flighty as a teenager, and flitting from one fashion trend to another, from one newest rave to another, from one pub to another (oh, those were the days) and yet to be settled in the same job for the past decade – it would be a tad freaky if I wasn’t enjoying myself so.

I am thankful for having found a bunch of blogger mummies on this journey with me. In this year, I have learnt about this bunch of crazy, wacky, funny, super supportive bunch of fellow mummy bloggers, who come in different size, colour, shapes – but having common experiences of pregnancy, childbirth, and caring for our kids have bonded us like superglue!

I am thankful to God. My life saved, my soul redeemed, and my life’s vision and purpose now clear. I’ve been in church since 1998. And till today, my mind is blown as I hear from my pastors and leaders, and see how they lead their lives – and I am in awe of how much more of God there is to know and discover.

And lastly – I am thankful for this blog. It has some humble beginnings, but blogging has always been (and will always be) such a great outlet for me to rant and vent, and get to reach out to so many readers from all over the globe

And as my inspiration for this post, I am linking up with …

Have a Talkative Thursday post? Where you can pour out on anything (the antithesis of Wordless Wednesdays, if you will), and feel free to link up!
