I just read in The Sunday Times about a news report of how certain Malaysian hawkers were throwing PLASTIC into the oil when cooking goreng pisang!
How... *gulp*... horrific!
Thank goodness it is likely one of those "urban legends". I'll have to admit, it probably will make me think twice before consuming one of these over the Causeway.
Haha... I still would enjoy this fave food of mine over here though!
