It’s Chinese New Year, and it’s my favourite time of the year… It speaks of rest (4 full days of bumming around till Wednesday! Yippee!), fellowship with close family and friends, and most importantly… GOOD FOOD!
Last night, my family had our reunion dinner – and we had yummy steamboat!
First off, there was the traditional Yusheng (or literally raw fish). With the traditional shouts of Chinese idioms (my family’s Chinese’s all pretty limited, I realise, haha!) and the usual toss-up of the ingredients, it was one messy, but very yummy, dish!
And the main dish itself?
With the most important ingredient … Pork shabu-shabu!
