A trip down under(water)

Jay loves animals. No doubt about that!

But in recent days his love for animals have extended to underwater ones, so Nic & I decided to bring him to the Underwater World at Sentosa for a special pre-birthday treat! But there were some pre-trip jitters…

Mommy: Do you want to go to the Underwater World?
Jay: Huh?
Mommy: Oh, it’s so fun! There’s going to be a lot of sharks and stingrays and fishes!
Jay: Okay!!!
Mommy: Yes, and they will be swimming all around us!
Jay: I don’t want to go.
Mommy: Huh?
Jay: I don’t want to go already.

Haha! He literally thought we’d be swimming WITH the fishes! What an imaginative boy! I managed to persuade him, but assuring him that the fishes will swimming NEAR us, but we would not be in the water.

[Of course, his use of the word “already” is so Singlish, Kills me, so I am now in the midst of trying to correct him!]

But when he reached, and realised what the trip entailed, he was immediately enthralled by the colourful multitude of fishes! And boy oh boy, he saw so many different kinds of fishes and corals! It was a wonderful time spent there!

What an up-close-and-personal encounter! Unfortunately, we didn’t go to the Dolphin Lagoon as Jay was completely worn out by the end, and we decided to put an end to our little outing, to end on a good (read: non-whiny) note!

If you haven’t been to the Underworld World Sentosa in a long time, don’t forget to check it out!
