First Day In School!

In the week running up to Jay’s first day in school…

Mommy was excited…

Nervous…

Anticipating…

Busy preparing…

                               Anxious…

                    Happy…

And did I mention anxious yet?

Oh gosh. On one hand, I knew he would have a blast, with Little Big’s facilities and fun and great and loving teachers…

On the other hand… how would he adjust? Would he scream and cry? Would he be able to eat? Sleep? …

And today, Feb 1, 2010 officially marks Jay’s first day in school.

The first day he will be spending a great part of the day away from both Mommy and my domestic helper…

He’s all grown up!

Despite all my anxieties, I am so proud of Jayvon… He stepped into the school, and was all smiley and responded pretty well to the teachers. He readily took Ms. Liyun’s hand and went into the classroom and made himself comfortable by playing with the toys displayed. With the brightly coloured environment, it is quite similar in concept to Suntec Nursery, which I think helps to make it easier for him to relate to the place.

I can’t wait to pick him up at 5 p.m. and hear all about his day!
