Addictive… & Addicted!

It all started so innocently.

Then again, doesn’t it always start this way?

All I wanted to do was to try my hand at organizing an Everyday Minerals spree.

But it has grown into quite the monster.

In the last one and a half hours, I have been scrunched up over my laptop, poring over the EDM website! And I am glad to say the lot of us are happy almost-owners of some fabulous mineral make-up!

And the savings are quite fantastic. Our total order came up to US$260. But we enjoyed a whopping 45% discount off most of the items… which brought our ‘damage’ to US$150! U.S. shipping is another US$15, and this excludes the US to SG shipping charge (which should be less than S$25).

Aah…

I remember why I lurve online shopping so much again! :P

Join My Everyday Minerals Spree!

I know… I am on an austerity drive.

See, which explains why I should have this spree now. Cos, you see, it is cheaper, see, to buy makeup online. And see, if I get all the items I need for the next 6 months now, see, I actually save money. See?

And of course, a newfound friend I made asked me to start a spree.

*ahem!*

And now, to get on with the topic on hand, I decided to organize a spree for Everyday Minerals! Remember when I last bought from this store?imageWell, after using the products, I really enjoyed it!

So if you would like to be a part of this spree, here’re some quick instructions:

Spree ends Monday, 7 September 2009, 8 p.m., or when orders reach USD200 whichever comes first.

Exchange rate: 1 USD = 1.55 SGD

Shipping via VPost

Estimated time to reach SG: 3-4 weeks

All items will be mailed out (or self-collected @ Suntec).

Transfer payment to: POSB Savings 093-45559-2 & email me the transaction number.

My email address: tzaiyi@gmail.com

Payment to be made in 2 batches:

1st payment: Price of the items ordered (total cost of items in USD x 1.55) [Has to be received before your orders will be processed!]
2nd payment: shipping cost from US to SG plus the local shipping. [Should the exchange rate be any lower, I will also refund the difference here. Once my credit card statement arrives, it would be easier to confirm the amount]

Perks:

Well, this is my first attempt at organizing a spree. I am doing this cos I love shopping enjoy shopping want to shop well, cos I just feel like it! Hahaha!

Update 3 Sept: The EDM site is now offering 25% discount for purchases of 5 to 11 full-sized products (So each now costs US$4.50 instead of US$6) and a whooping 45% discount if we can get more than 12 full-sized products (each now costs US$3.30!)... How awesome... :P

My Everyday Minerals Spree

image

Have you heard of mineral makeup?

Well, I’ve heard quite a lot of reviews raving about this, and so I wanted to try it out.

The mineral makeup products available in Singapore are (1) limited and (2) costly.

And so of course, I decided to venture online!

One of the recommended websites was Everyday Minerals, for their value-for-money products, and I went to their website at least 4 times to pore over the colors and hues available, and I was soooooo tempted each time to jump right in to make an order!

Why didn’t I? Well, cos of the sheer VARIETY of items available! They have 43 different foundation shades, 51 different blushers, 72 eye shadow colors, 18 different concealers and more! How could I choose?

But well, I finally DID make an order! The awesome thing was that they allowed a free (yes, free!) sample makeup kit with every purchase, so that you can try out sample pots of foundations in different colors to find the right one! In fact, the sample kit allows for 3 different foundations, 1 concealer and 1 blush color! It was kind of hard to choose the right foundation color based on the write up, so this sample kit sure made things less “painful”!

Another awesome thing I loved about Everyday Minerals is that they allow sample sizes for almost ALL their products – eyeshadow, blushes, concealers… everything! Which is perfect for someone like me, who takes forever (and a day) to make some choices! And at US$2.50 for a small sample size, I think it is pretty worth it!

Here’s my stash:

I ordered the sample make up kit, an additional blusher, 5 different eye shadows and a make up base, a total of US$17.50. For 12 little pots!

And I love the colors! The eye shadow colors are really gorgeous! Oh man… I think I will probably make a few more orders from this site! I haven’t had the chance to try out the 3 sample foundation colors as yet, but I will do so soon!
